"Son of a Preacher Man" by British singer Dusty Springfield, is from her 1968 album, Dusty in Memphis.
Songwriters John Hurley and Ronnie Wilkins wrote the song with Aretha Franklin in mind, but Atlantic Records producer and co-owner Jerry Wexler, also suggested it to Springfield for the Dusty in Memphis album.
